As Managing Director of Pikes Peak Financial Group, Stan Douglas has over 30 years of experience in taxation, accounting, and small business ownership of a variety of successful business endeavors. He graduated from Cedarville University in Ohio with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and began his professional experience with Steele, Pelphrey & CO, CPA’s in Dayton, OH. After relocating to California, Stan worked as the Tax Department Manager for Yost & Levy before branching off to start his own accounting practice. Through grassroots efforts and various acquisitions, Diablo Valley Financial Group has since grown into a thriving firm operating in the San Francisco East Bay area now known as Douglas & Hornberger LLP. Today, Pikes Peak Financial Group is an extension of the West Coast practice into Colorado’s Front Range region which has been home to the Douglas family since 2000.
While growing the accounting business, Stan has concurrently owned a diverse set of small business ventures including retail sales, construction, private education, real estate, investment services, and property management businesses. He has become uniquely equipped with practical, CFO insights through his own hands-on, business-owner challenges. As an entrepreneur, accountant, and tax advisor to scores of individuals and small businesses, Stan’s vision for Pikes Peak Financial Group is to provide perspective, guidance, and world-class financial services for business owners and individuals.
Besides his 30+ years of business experiences, Stan is a member of the National Association of Tax Practitioners and a board director for several area business and charitable boards. He has served as church treasurer, school board member, pregnancy center board chair, and is currently involved with Dream Centers of Colorado Springs and with Children’s HopeChest serving vulnerable orphans around the world.
Stan is very involved with church and community activities that center around the personal and academic interests of his 10 natural and adopted children. He enjoys spending time with his wife, family outings, classic cars, target shooting, and strategic philanthropy.
